Cecelia Hencke, MPA

Cecelia Hencke has been the Executive Director of Rochester Global Connections (RGC) since 2015. She started as a Friendship Volunteer for RGC in 2013 to help introduce international students to American culture and chaired the International Insights committee to feature international speaker engagements. Cecelia has an extensive background in the public sector, serving as a coordinator for the City of Rochester’s youth entrepreneurship program, and served two years in AmeriCorps, working with a homeless prevention program in West Virginia and a college prep program for first-generation/low-income high school students in the Rochester City School District. In 2018, Cecelia was recognized as a “Women to Watch”, a D&C publication featuring outstanding young woman who are community servants and rising stars in the Rochester area. Cecelia has a Master of Public Administration degree from the College at Brockport and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College. In 2017, she was inducted into the Pi Alpha Alpha Global Honor Society for Public Affairs & Administration and is an IES Alumna Berlin (2009).
